Very very Slow

Area Ref: 31 we have been experiencing over last few weeks buffering and iplayer constantly froze today. Speed test confirmed download speed of 0.25 to .75 mbps increasing to 7mbps where as it should be between 30 to 50 mpbs. Anyone having these problems??

Hi there Ggov,

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

Sorry to read you are experiencing slow broadband speeds.

From checking your connection, there is a high peak time traffic fault in your area which is causing slow speeds. The reference number is F004577582 and has a review date of 5th April.

Do you notice these speeds at all times of the day or just during peak hours?

Are you testing through a wired or wireless connection?

Hi Samantha,
The speed we get is very poor irrespective of the time of the day. Year on year we have seen prices increased for faster broadband speed which virginmedia promised but failing to deliver. Please fix it ASAP.

If you are achieving slow speeds at all times of the day, there might be something else causing these slow speeds.

 

Are you able to complete speed tests during the daytime through a wired connection, to see if the speeds differ please?
