Down speed 10.63 mbps
Up speed 0.80 mbps

It has been as low as 2.0 mbps down and 0.1 mbps up !!!

I've rebooted the superhub a few times, leaving it off overnight out of frustration more than once.

Can anyone give any advice?

Re: Very slow internet, again...

Same here, I posted the info as you have done but it just gets ignored.  I have started to look at other deals as the service falls well below what is advertised, 4MB down yet paying for 60MB and they want to upgrade you and then advise the price is going up.  VM is very bad for service.

Re: Very slow internet, again...

Hi skyrine,

Thanks for posting your modem stats, these look fine, as does your local network segment in terms of utilisation, SNR and FEC count, so the cause of these slow speeds are bit of mystery at the moment.

Can you please tell us if your connection is wired or wireless and if the same problems are evident on any other connected PC or device.

Many Thanks

Re: Very slow internet, again...

Hi,

This is happening to my wired and wireless devices.

I switched all other connected devices off except my main PC which uses a wired connection , rebooted the superhub then ran the speedtest.net test, then grabbed the logs and posted here.

My connection did return to 60mbps about 2 hours after I posted and has remained in the 50 to 60 mpbs since.

It is above 50mpbs right now.

I do not know when it will drop down again, of for how long it will stay there, it seems very random. It often stay poor for a day or two before returning to normal.

Re: Very slow internet, again...

Been out for the day but come home to sluggishness.
while D/L at 38 mbps and up at about 1.2 mpbs is not terrible, the initial dns resolution feel like it is taking an age.
Pages take a long time 5~10 seconds before any content starts showing up.

And, ping is varying from high 70s,to 100 ms on speedtest

Re: Very slow internet, again...

Hi skyrine,

Cheers for the update, everything still looking great from this end.

Any chance you could try the SuperHub in modem mode (this will disable your wireless) for a short while to see if this makes any difference.

Traceroute results both when the connection is working ok and when sluggish may also prove helpful if you could post these.

Many Thanks
