Very Low Speed

After complaining to Virgin Media about my terrible download speed (around 40Mbs), I was told I needed to upgrade to the SuperHub 3.0 and pay £14.99 delivery charge.
I've waited 4 days for the SuperHub 3.0 to arrive.
In the mean time, I upgraded my home network and PC data transfer speed from 600Mbps to 1000Mbps.

So...
I'm paying for up to 200Mbps Virgin Media Service.

The Virgin Media SuperHub 3.0 is installed and set up.

I'm using:
TP-Link Gigabit PCI Express Network Adapter (TG-3468),
NETGEAR PL1000 - 1 Gigabit Ethernet Port Adapter,
Belkin Cat6 Snagless UTP Patch Cable's.

As you can clearly see from my screenshot....

Today's Speed TestsToday's Speed Tests

NO REASONABLE IMPROVEMENT IN SPEED.

These tests were done through wired connection, with only one device connected.

I have a fresh install of Windows 10. PC is only 3 weeks old.

Re: Very Low Speed

Your upstream speeds are consistent- but your downstream is all over the place.

Power levels look fine...

I notice form your speed tests you are using different servers - most of which are outside VM's network. Try a speed-test at

speedtest.net

and chuck the screen-cap up.

Re: Very Low Speed

So Im assuming you are using a wired connection- does it vary at different times of day?

Next-

So we can help us to help you, can you

Go to your Superhub Log in screen

Do NOT log in.

Little button top right.....

Can you post Upstream, Downstream and Network logs.

Screen caps are nice, C&P will do- Don't stress about formatting if you C&P. Someone will get a look and see if there's anything obvious amiss.

Re: Very Low Speed

Everything looks fine from a power level point of view...but the network log looks ropey.

Set up a BQM

HERE

Run it for say 24 hrs, and post the result.

Re: Very Low Speed

Yes, as OP, Wired connection 1000Mbs, no other devices connected.

Re: Very Low Speed

I've been testing it for 3 weeks now.

Best Speed was 90Mbs

Worst was 8Mbs.

I was testing at varying times of the day, it's always slow.

Re: Very Low Speed

Set up the BQM.

It could be your WAN connection is dropping out, which the BQM will show us. It will also show us how latency varies throughout the day.

Re: Very Low Speed

As OP, I'm using a brand new Super hub 3.0, delivered and installed today.

I was also having the same issue before, with the Super hub 2...

All the tests I done previous are almost Identical to these ones using the Super hub 3.0...

Everything is brand new, down to the CAT6 cables.

I've started the BQM.

Will post back more info.
