Re: VERY SLOW INTERNET ON 200MB LINE!!!

Hi mattcind,

Welcome to the Community!

Really sorry to hear you're experiencing speed issues.

I've located your account and I can see an issue with the network in your area affecting speeds at peak times - Ref.(F004383919). Our technicians are working to get this resolved and have set a review date of 29th March.

I'm really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

All the best

Josh

Re: VERY SLOW INTERNET ON 200MB LINE!!!

As an extra, If 90Mbs is the highest you've ever had, then something is limiting your speed to a 10/100 connection ontop of the over utilization. Might be worth checking each part of your network / a different cat5e or better cable / software settings.

HI Shafreya,

Thanks for the reply....do you know if its possible to check the speed at the modem directly rather than on my machine??

Matt.

Re: VERY SLOW INTERNET ON 200MB LINE!!!

Unless you are part of the Samknows group and have a white box then no.

Outside of peak times you should be getting full speeds delivered to the hub. You will then lose that to your machines because of the 10/100 connection from there.

For a refund, call up virgin, ask to speak to cancellations (tends to be onshore not offshore script readers), then explain the situation to them, give them the fault reference number and ask for credit.

Hi mattcind,

Thanks for getting back in touch, I am sorry to see you have continued to have trouble with your connection.

I have taken a look at fault ref F004383919 for slow speeds at peak times and I can see the review date is 29/03/2017. I will pop you a PM to discuss this further.

Keep an eye out for the Purple Envelope, top right hand corner.

Speak to you soon.
