Utilisation issues area 14

After having serious speed issues now for over 14months (as low as 2mbps on a 100mbps service) VM have only recently admitted that they have utilisation issues in area 14.

Having being reassured, over the last 6months, that this will be resolved in the next 30 days (lies) has anybody any real info on this issue.

My contract is up for renewal in the new year & think that BT will be getting a new customer

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

 

I'm sorry to read that you are experiencing slow broadband speeds. 

 

Looking at the high peak time traffic fault you mentioned, our engineers have been working on this and have moved you to a different cable. We are unable to see the data at the moment as it is a new cable, however we will check this in a few days time.

 

Have you noticed an improvement with the speeds at all?

Hi sam
yeah I've noticed a difference my speed was double tonight I managed to get a massive 7mbps!!! Still not quite the 100 that I'm paying for though.

Where are you based?

Some places in Area 14 have now been resolved, but the issues have been ongoing for well over a year!

Area14 is a commercial billing code only.

It doesn't really have any relevance to problems / fixes.


Rotherham was the place to get the recent fixes (part of area 14) but as said the area code means nothing and as such the other cities haven't had no effect from it and shouldn't expect any.
