I'm in area 11 and received dreadful peak time speeds for months due to over utilisation. This fault was closed off as resolved last August after multiple review date movements and since then I have been receiving full speeds.
I upgraded to 200Mbps recently and VM gave me a SH3. I have been looking at the hub status page which shows 24 downstream channels. Based on this and the MAC address of the CMTS I am assuming it was upgraded to Cisco cBR-8.
Reasons given for delays to utilisation fault fixing is that major physical work such as new cabinets, digging up of roads has to be done. Is CMTS replacement an example of major work? And does this mean the utilisation problems are likely sorted for the foreseeable future?
Although the speed I receive is generally much better, I do seem suffer from the slow HTTP download speed problem - Think Broadband speed tests usually show around 70Mbps. And my BQM does not look good which is perhaps due to the SH3 latency problems.
While I'm here, is it normal for power levels to vary a lot between each channel? Mine go from -2.5 to 3.
Sorry to hear about the connection problems you're experiencing. I've checked this and I can see the fault in your area under ref: F005093934 which is being reviewed on the 21st June. This fault is known for causing slow speeds, especially during peak time hours. Apart from this fault I don't see anything else out of place.
Please accept my apologies for this and bump this post on or after the review for more info.
