Upload speed vastly different depending on website.

I'm a video editor and part of my job involves uploading large video files. When I switched to Virgin Media for my new address, I opted for VIVID200 as it appeared to have the fastest upload speed with no traffic management. However, the length of time it takes to upload a file depends on which website I'm using.

A 500Mb video file will upload to Google Drive or Vimeo in a few minutes. But if I try uploading to WeTransfer, Wipster, or Frame IO, the progress bar indicates that the upload will take several hours. Often the upload starts fast then slows down massively, as if it's being throttled.

I didn't have this problem at my previous address when I was with Sky - videos would upload at roughly the same speed across all websites I used. Any ideas what is going on here?

Frame IO was my go-to website for uploading when I was with Sky, and I would transfer videos to clients using WeTransfer. Now I can't use either Frame IO or WeTransfer, because uploading to them would take several hours. However I can upload the same file to Vimeo in a matter of minutes.

What I'm wondering is why uploads are faster on some websites rather than others, and specifically why this depends on the internet service provider.

Welcome to Virgin Media........  (sarcasm)

Now I am not sure because the packages keep changing but Vivid 200 used to have / may still have an upload cap and they introduced Vivid 200 Gamer with NO CAP, maybe someone else here can confirm if this is still the case.

A cap? You mean traffic management? When I signed up to the VIVID200 package in January I was told over the phone there was no traffic management - it also stated this on the Virgin Media website.

VIVID 200 Gamer has no upload traffic management, nor does VIVID 300.

VIVID 200 itself does have upload management.
