Superhub 3 dropping speed when connected to 3rd party wireless router

hi there

hope someone can help?

i have the TP-Link 450 Mbps Wireless N Cable Router which worked great with my superhub 2 in modem mode, with speeds around 70. Upgraded to superhub 3 and using same router getting speeds of 5 or less.

if i connect direct by ethernet to the hub it's coming in at 215 mb. wireless through the hub direct is about 30 right beside it but this obviously drops fast. plug in my wifi router and it goes to 5

is the router unable to cope with the signal, or is there a better one I should get?

thank you!

By plugging in your WiFi router, are you putting the Hub 3 in modem mode?

yes, put the hub in modem mode and plug in the wifi router, same as i did with the hub 2

with the hub2 i got better speeds throughout the house, with this it sucks
