Speeds Very Poor in Area 07 / BS7

Hi Chaps,

Can someone take a look at the area 7 speeds.

Currently getting <10mb downloads during peaks & <20mb the rest of the time.

I have run the diagnostics / rebooted etc a couple of times, but little improvement to date.

The Stats look fine.

Are you experiencing the slow speeds on a wired or wireless connection to the hub?

If wireless test wired.

Hi Griffin,

Thanks for looking at the stats for me.  Very Much appreciated.

I am connected over Ethernet over Power, TP-Links 1200 Mbps - so pretty fast to hub downstairs.  Broadband is supposed to be SuperFibre 70.  At times it can be quite good & seamed better towards the end of last week, however, on closer inspection over the weekend & into today, performance is down & stayed down.

I kind of thought I would see an improvement this morning, with it being out of peak and in fairness we have gone from the sub 5/10 top hitting 10/15 at times.

Just set up a BQM to take a look in more detail, so that will be interesting - early days at present, but initial latency seams high, although I don't have anything to compare with.

Will be interesting to see the BQM graph over the 24 hours.  I will post it &in the hope someone with more experience of what the numbers should be can comment.

Is there anything else worth recording?

Hi Scbeale,

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear you're getting poor speeds. I've just checked your connection to see what could be causing this and can see there is a contention fault in the area under ticket F004176368. This will cause poor speeds at peak times such as evenings and weekends and is due for review 22/02/17.
