Currently on 50MB but only receiving less then 15MB? really frustrating... no action from Virgin media except offering for couple of quid discount which is not worth it when you have to wait couple of minute to open a BBC website.

In the meantime..
are you connected wired or via WiFi, if WiFi what speeds do you get wired.
Do you get these speeds all the time or just in evenings?
and it might be worth posting your router stats here.

Thanks for letting us know about your issues with your broadband connection, I apologise for any troubles incurred.
I've run some tests on your connection from here and I noticed a lot of T3 time outs inside your Hubs logs. An engineer will be required to attend in order to resolve this for you.
