So my old thread got archived for some reason...

So I waited 2 weeks for a reply to my old thread and when I went to reply I was told the thread was archived and couldn't reply to it, which was annoying to say the least. So here goes, part 2....

Still having problems with my connection such as dropping out of servers and packet loss.

Here's the situation at 17:45 4th July:

Can someone take a look at this for me please?

Nothing odd there.

Downstream SNR bit too low. Forum team probably pick it up.

Re: So my old thread got archived for some reason...

Hi Crazy_Joe

Thanks for posting on the community.

I'm sorry to read that you are experiencing issues with your broadband connection.

From checking your connection, there is an SNR fault in your area which is causing intermittent connection. The reference number is F004582198 and with a review date of 13th July.

Your Modem SNR is currently borderline at 34 dB, so once the fault in your area gets closed down, I will check this over again and if there is still an issue, we can arrange an engineer appointment.

Will be in touch soon

Sam

Hi, is there any update to this? SNR levels are still under 34 and I'm still getting packet loss at all times of the day.

Hi Crazy_Joe

Sorry for not getting back in touch sooner.

I've checked the SNR fault and the review date is showing as 20th July.

Will look at this tomorrow for any updates.

Regards

Sam

Hi Crazy_joe

Just checking in to let you know that the SNR fault has now been closed down as resolved.

Looking at your connection, the router has been online for the past 19 days. When you get chance can you reboot the router for me please and if you are still getting the same issue can you re-post the router information.

Speak soon

Sam

Re: So my old thread got archived for some reason...

Router has been rebooted and the packet loss seems to have gone.

The SNR is still not great though but it doesn't seem to be affecting the connection.

I guess we should just leave it for now as the connection seems to be fine.

Re: So my old thread got archived for some reason...

Hi Crazy_Joe

I'm glad that you are not noticing any further packet loss.

The SNR is now showing as 34 dB. If you can monitor the connection for the next few days and if you get any further issues, let me know and I will check it over for you.

Regards

Sam
