Slow speed/constant disconnects derby Area 20

My broardband goes very slow at about 4:00pm till gone 11:00pm

possible cause could be high network traffic/util, with your connection is this wired/wireless.. If its wireless can you test the speed on a wired connection. When your having the slow connection

Makes no difference which and there are tests which not complete.

Hi Slotcar,

 

Apologies for the reduced speeds you've been experiencing. I think that utilisation is the main cause as we already have this under investigation, ref: F002240686.

Some work has already been done (the implementation of additional upstreams) with the remainder of the upgrade work currently on target for mid April.

The estimated fix dates are estimated though and may change so do request updates on here and we'll re-check that for you.

 

Whilst this is ongoing you can request a month-by-month credit by calling Customer Services on 150 (from a Virgin landline) or 0845 454 1111 (from any other phone).

I'm also in Derby, and this isn't dissimilar to what i'm experiencing.

Thanks for getting in touch, I've had a look at your connection and it seems you're affected by F002986451 Utilisation. 

 

Due to the complex nature of these faults I do not currently have a resolve date for you but we should have an update on this after 23/04/2014. Please give this thread a bump after this time and we'll happily get an update for you. 

 

Your modem is showing as offline at the moment so I'm unable to check if there is any other issues with your connection. Apologies for this. 

 

It may be worth giving this a try http://virg.co/bbtips to get things moving.

Apologies for the ongoing problems, checking high utilisation ticket F002240686 I can see that the estimated date for upgrade works to resolve this is currently October.
