Slow internet speed

Over the last couple of weeks i keep losing my internet connection. I have just carried out a test and my download speed is 17mb/s which is ridiculous. I am trying to watch netflix and all it keeps doing is stop working every 2 minutes. Any help to solve this is appreciated.

I'm having the same problem the last couple of weeks with speeds as low as 8mbs.  When I run a fault test, it recognises that something is wrong and says it's going to fix it but mostly doesn't accept there's anything wrong.  Either way no improvements. Again, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting on the community.

 

Sorry to read you are having issues with your broadband connection.

 

From checking your connection, there is a high peak time traffic fault in your area which is causing slow speeds. The reference number is F004121828 and has a review date of 22nd March.

 

In regards to the disconnections, does this happen on both wired and wireless devices?

It is happening at the moment on all devices be it wired or wireless.

Apologies again for the problems you're having with your connection. It would be really helpful for our diagnostics if you could set up a BQM as it will identify if and when your network completely drops which will give us a clearer understanding of what is happening.

What do I do with the data from the BQM I set up? The connection I am getting is so poor at the moment, it seems fine one minute and the next I get nothing. It's getting ridiculous.

The easiest way would be to go to your TBB Graph and click the Share Live Graph Link (The Snapshot would be fine also)

Click the generate button. Under Large Graph copy the HTML code in the grey box. making sure you have copied the whole line.

On the Forum Reply box, click on the HTML link at the top.

Paste the HTML code you copied and post

I've taken another look at the network and I am unable to detect any obvious reasons for the drop outs on your connection.

 

For this I would now like to arrange an engineer appointment to check this over for you. I've sent you a PM (purple envelope icon, right corner) with some details for you to confirm please.
