Slow internet and can't talk to tech team

Hi Recently Join Virgin for the 200mbps internet speed but I have never managed to get that. I can get about 104mbps but my husband only gets 50mbps I have tried to talk to the tech team online but every time I click on the chat it just give's me the times I can talk, doesn't connect. Is there anything I can do to speed it up. Please don't say try moving hub as engineer that fitted it put such a small amount of cable on I can hardly move it from one side of tv to other. I did think about trying to put up on wall above tv but cable not long enough, he put it behind tv when he fitted and speed was even slower then.

how are you connecting? wireless or wired connection.
50-100mbps is a good speed for a wired connection depending on wireless specs and wireless environment.

Doesn't matter if I'm wired or wireless it's same speed but I'm paying for 200 for a reason and was told lowest I would get would be 186

you shouldn't of been told a minimum and it matters if its wired or wireless as you need to have hardware to support the speeds. if you get the speeds wired then the speed is being delivered

I don't get the speed wired I get between 50 and 104 for both wired and wireless and I was told a minimum which is why I joined up wouldn't have bothered if I new I was going to get slow speeds

your network card on the computer is 100mbps then if its was gigabit it would be green. That will limit the speed to about 100mbps.
you will need a gigabit network card to see any speeds over 100

Well that's ok but for first week I git 150 speed so how does that work

are you using a laptop? If so what is the make and model? was it wired or wireless you got over 100 on?
