Slow broadband

Why is our download 5.6mbps and upload of 7 all the time. While you speak to virgin they test and change channels and all good for about 5mins

I've located your account and everything is looking great at the moment. Levels are all good and there are no network issue in your area. Are you connecting wired or wirelessly?

Both wifi and wired
Checked speed again today 7 and 5
The broadband is like dial up. Never had any issues with sky and if you call to discuss they say all is well mmmmm
Very disappointed with virgin overall

Was told was doing a replacement cable in drive. Never happened then another engineer said all is well. Huh how come. One says knackered one say good yet still poor. Dial up here we go!

Sorry to hear this is still on-going, I appreciate your frustrations.

Just so I'm clear, did you mean that an engineer told you that you'd need to have a new cable laid? How did this come about?

An engineer said we needed a new cable in drive so was arranged. Next one came back and said it was all good. Our internet is like dial up! Should have stayed with sky

Thanks for getting back to us. 

 

I've taken a look at your connection, there is a high peak time traffic fault in your area which is causing an issue with the broadband speeds. The reference number is F005100505 and has a review date of 10th May.

 

Do you notice these speeds at all times of the day or just peak hours?
