Slow broadband

Hi all, 

I am experiencing very low speed at my broadband connection. It is a 50Mbps line and I only get up to 6Mbps according to speedtest.net. This is not the first time this happens, it happens almost every day especially at night. Is there anything I could do to improve that? Could that be possible to check it?
