Slow VM Broadband, help required

Evening

Another post re internet speed.

For the last few weeks my internet speeds have dropped so much its almost impossible to use any online service. For example - I've been looking for a car and to load the carpeople web site and search its taking approx 5 min's between pages??

I'm paying for 'Super Fibre 70' but used a simple speed checker (Speedtest by Oolka) and I'm struggling to get over 2mbps?  This is morning, noon and night??

Having read a few posts - I've logged into the hub - 192.168.100.1 and under router status/downstream I'm getting the below info - Does all seem ok? or do I have a problem???

Re: Slow VM Broadband, help required

Hi JT2017,

Welcome to the Community!

Really sorry to hear you're experiencing slow speeds.

I've run a diagnostic on your equipment and nothing stands out at the moment. All your levels are within spec and there are no issues with the network in your area.

Are you connecting wired or wirelessly?

I'd like you to run a speed test with the hub in Modem Mode to see what kind of results we get.

Speak soon Smiley Very Happy

Josh

Everyone with problems in Essex should all go to Basildon and protest outside virgin until it is sorted or we are compensated in some way for being ripped off!!

Re: Slow VM Broadband, help required

Further to my last - check of speed at https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/speedtest/results

Postcode*** 0SZ
Your download speed18.0Mb
Your upload speed5.5Mb

Speeds seem all over the place?

I agree there better than the 2mbps I was getting but still up and down??

Thanks

Re: Slow VM Broadband, help required

Hey there JT2017,

Thanks for getting back to us with additional results, it's much appreciated.

Apologies again for the speed problems, are you seeing the reduction on multiple devices or just the one? Also, do you get similar results when you test from speedtest.net?

Hope to hear back from you soon,

Take care.

I use spedtest.net and have used it on both the iPhone, ipad and pc....

Ive just finished work and the screenshot below was taken just now on my PC and its shocking considering its now 0400 in the morning.
