Slow Speeds NW6

Hello,

I'm getting slow speeds quite often in the NW6 area. My modem (Superhub 3.0) shows this:

Downstream bonded channels
Channel Frequency(Hz) Power
(dBmV) SNR
(dB) Modulation Channel ID
1 307000000 -1.5 27.8 256 qam 138
2 323000000 -1.5 27.7 256 qam 140
3 315000000 -1.7 27.6 256 qam 139
4 299000000 -1.5 27.6 256 qam 137
5 291000000 -1.9 27.8 256 qam 136
6 283000000 -1.7 28.1 256 qam 135
7 275000000 -1.7 28.4 256 qam 134
8 267000000 -1.4 28.6 256 qam 133

I wonder if this is an area fault or over utilisation as I'm considering whether to move away from VM. Everything is connected tightly. Any ideas?

Re: Slow Speeds NW6

your SNR is below spec. If the cable is tight then you will need an engineer out to correct that

Re: Slow Speeds NW6

Yes, I think it has randomly just dropped rather than being typically that low which makes me wonder if the area is just bad/unreliable.

Re: Slow Speeds NW6

Hi webdudeuk,

Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your connection.

I've run a diagnostic on your equipment and I can see an issue with your Channel SNR that will need to be adjusted by a technician. I've sent you a private message (purple envelope at the top right of your screen) so I can arrange an appointment.

Look forward to hearing from you! Smiley Very Happy

Josh
