Slow Internet

Hi for the last week or so we have been having very slow speeds streaming online stuff, the content is blurry and having difficulty in keeping up with the buffering. We did have an engineer out in December to adjust the power levels, the levels seem fine to me. We are on 100mbps just wandering if there is an issue with the router, we have a super hub 2.

Also sometimes you cant connect to the router or it loses the signal.

If one of the Virgin team members can give me some advice i would be most grateful

Thanks,

Matthew

Re: Slow Internet

Hello matalmatt,

Thanks for your post Smiley Happy

Sorry to hear about the connection problems you're having. I've ran some tests and nothing is flagging in error right now. Do you have the same problems with your hard-wired connection, or is it just the wireless that's struggling? What results are you getting when you perform a speed test?

Please get back to us so we can continue to investigate.

Take care.

Re: Slow Internet

Hi Heather

Thanks for replying i have posted my findings here: http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-wireless/Odd-things-happening-with-our-Internet/m...

yesterday and today seems to be fine so will keep an eye out on this.

I haven't tested it out wired the problem happened some days and went ok, i can only test it on wired when the issue happens again.

It seems that the RxMER (dB) on some of the Channel ID were below 30 and i kept getting an error "Lost MDD Timeout"

We did have power cuts a few days ago

Regards,

Matthew

i decided to switch the channel 6 to manual, this was displaying the best results and performance. Seems to be working fine at the moment
