Slow Download Speed

Recently installed a Super hub 3 to replace a faulty Super hub 2 and I am receiving around 25 Mbps, even late at night.  I currently pay for the 200 Mbps services.

Before the SH2 went faulty I regularly got download speeds of 200 Mbps, any ideas what could be causing such low speeds with the SH3?

Hello lazarou

 

I am sorry you are having some problems with speed, the area traffic does pick up a bit in the evening but not too bad. The hub and line look good. Are you measuring from a wireless connection or wired. If not doing it already please try wired with www.speedtest.net leaving the default server at different times of the day and let us know how that goes.

Hi Nicola,

There is an engineer calling today, have spoken to 2nd line support who confirmed I was getting poor download speeds, even in modem mode connected directly to my Pc.

Hi Sam,

unfortunately my issue is unresolved. The technician determined that the fault was not with my set up but with my area and was unsure when it would be fixed. I am considering reducing my broadband package to 50Mb if I will be unable to receive the 200Mb service for the foreseeable future.  I seem to be getting from 25Mb to 45Mb on average.

I've checked this over and the engineer has left notes in regards to a high peak time traffic fault in your area. The reference number is F005054947, and work is to be completed with an estimated date of April.

Update:

I have been checking my connecting speed regularly and for the last few days I have been getting 200+. Hopefully this means whatever issue was causing problems in my area has now been resolved (fingers crossed).
