Please help with slow speeds..

Im on 100mb and the past few weeks have been woeful.

My last speedtest from about 5 minutes ago was..... Ping 15ms,  DL 5.59mbps and UL 5.93mbps.

This is one of the better results, its averaging around 1mbps.

Im in the Dudley area, is there a fault somewhere?

Re: Please help with slow speeds..

Stats look fine, just a single T4 in the logs, but apart from that it looks good.

What are the wired speeds during the day? It would be useful to know to check if your area is overutilised.

It might be worth starting a Broadband Quality Monitor here. You will need to enable Respond to ICMP Eco Requests first in the hub's GUI advanced section.

Re: Please help with slow speeds..

Im at work so its hard to test in the daytime.

If the stats look fine, what else could be causing the slow speeds?

Re: Please help with slow speeds..

Are you testing with a device connected directly to the hub by ethernet cable, or wirelessly?

If wireless, I would test the speed with a wired device during the day and again during evening peak period.
