Paying For 200Mbps, Getting Much Less At All Times Of The Day!

Hi guys,

We've just gotten Virgin and are paying for their 200Mbps speed. After doing tests we're only getting 30Mbps! Same speed if it's 8:00 in the evening, 2:00 in the afternoon or 1:00 in the morning!

If we're paying for it we'd like to get ideally at least 100Mbps at peak and 150Mbps on average (your website says that peak average is 160Mbps, 24hr peak is 190Mbps!)

Can anyone from Virgin give a response and try to help? I've included our stats from the "Router Status" page.

Can you post your upstream stats from the HUB interface as well?

Re: Paying For 200Mbps, Getting Much Less At All Times Of The Day!

Thank you so much for looking into it!

Sorry to be a pain but I've recently been on the phone to Virgin about it and he said he'd have a look and change some things. The connection hasn't improved yet so if you could still have a look that'd be much appreciated but I'll post the whole lot again in case anything has changed?

Thanks for the help!

Re: Paying For 200Mbps, Getting Much Less At All Times Of The Day!

Kay your downstreams are sitting at -1 or -2 , SNR is 37 odd and upstream is 44, so everything is within spec.

Can you set up a BQM

HERE

Run it for say 24 hrs, and post the result.

Dont forget youll need to make sure your super hub is configured to reply to ICMP echo requests...
