On Vivid 150 but getting 10Mbps in peak times

Hi all,

My first post, but VM customer for 18 years (... yes I know).

I'm on Vivid 150 in Area 24 and I am not clear what speed I should be getting. I would have thought I could get a reliable 30Mbps stream anytime of day. It seems I only get around 10Mbps from the afternoon onwards.

What should I get? Just really frustrated...
Some details

Measurement lab.net reports the same as I see and measure (london server):
UPLOAD SPEED: 1.86 Mb/s
DOWNLOAD SPEED: 9.64 Mb/s
Network latency: 13 msec round trip time
Jitter: 42 MSc

Speedtest to Luton and to London says "it's all good" (does it ever says anything different Smiley Wink)
Luton/Virgin server:    Ping: 27mS  Download:108 Mb/s  Upload: 10 Mb/S
London/Virgin server: Ping: 13mS  Download:130 Mb/s  Upload: 10 Mb/S

PS: I have been through all the router.network checking, read the background etc...

Thanks,

Today at 21.00 - "Unleash the speed"

Something is very wrong if I can only get 6Mb/s (single thread) from a server in London.

Re: On Vivid 150 but getting 10Mbps in peak times

Sorry to hear about this cooltone,

I've checked everything from this end and I'm unable to receive a reading from the equipment or network at the moment.

Have you disconnected your hub at all?

Hope to hear back from you soon,

Nat_J

Re: On Vivid 150 but getting 10Mbps in peak times

Thanks for coming back Nat_J,

Sorry for slow response, I was out.

The hub is connected, the last time it was physically disconnected was June 16, but this issue has been going on longer than that.

I soft reset the hub and error counters yesterday, below are the hub status logs taken today. Please advise, thanks, cooltone.

Re: On Vivid 150 but getting 10Mbps in peak times

Hi there cooltone,

Thanks for getting back to us.

I've taken a look into this and the upstream power levels are too high at +54 dBmV. For this I would like to arrange an engineer appointment to adjust these for you and have sent you a PM (purple envelope icon, right corner) with some details for you to confirm please.

Also there is a high peak time traffic fault in your area which is causing slow speeds. The reference number is F005381990 and has a review date of 20th September.

Hope to hear from you soon

Sam

- That's the one you really need to check! Post back after the engineer does his/her thing...weekday evening speeds the main recurring issue.
