New Gamer 200 Super Slow!

Hi

I've just completed the self install package for TV and Broadband, the TV is working perfectly but the broadband is shocking

I have the Vivid 200 Gamer package, but the maximum I have seen its around 30Mb 

I have tried calling tech support and the lady I spoke to seemed to think there is work going on outside my house, which there isn't, well at least not what I can see.

My question - ADSL2+ has a 10 day learning period before it settles on the max speed, is this the same with virgin? Does it need to learn its most stable speed before I get the maximum speeds? Would the config files from my router help? If so, let me know and I'll post them. no training time on cable like DSL needs.

Please post the modem stats and log from the superhub. Also is that a wired speed test or wireless?

Welcome to our forum, I am sorry we took a while getting here and for the slow speeds.

The line and hub look good at the moment, I notice your modem log looks like you may of lost sync however the area upstreams are clean and the hub is showing continuously locked on for the last 9 days.  I think the main issue is there is a problem with high peak time traffic on your segment I am afraid. We are already aware ref F003525877 and would like to carry out some upgrade work. The review date is currently showing 01 MAR 2017. The real information in there is you have a peak time fault. As you should still be in your cooling off period, you are advised to leave as it does not get better until they fix it (the date given is not a fix date, only a review date). People have been waiting a year or more for fixes.

Thanks for the reply. Spoke to CS few days ago, they've applied a credit

I download a lot and even in non-peak times I am seeing speeds around 0.5mbs on my downloads. I struggle to play youtube during peak times. Quite shocking really, I should of been made aware of the congestion on the network before I signed up. Getting nowhere near the 200mbps I signed up for

Trust me.. Use your cooling off period and get out while you can!

It's only going to get worse and i'd bet money that it won't be fixed when they say. You were lied to, conned, duped however you want to put it. VM are currently in a shocking mess with overutilization.
