My internet connection speed is 1.42 Mbps. Should be 200…

For the past week the speed in the evenings goes down from 200 to 1.42 Mbps.

Service status says everything is ok, restarted the router, etc., etc.

SuperHub 2

Area 15

Any help would be great, many thanks

99% sure without any knowledge of the area you're in that this is an over utilisation issue.

Re: My internet connection speed is 1.42 Mbps. Should be 200…

It's Area 15, London, N19 5.

When the speed went down to 1 Mbps I checked the service status and it said there was some fault in the area and it was supposed to be repaired by 2nd of March. Today is the 9th, status update says everything is ok but my connection speed is still barely over 1 Mbps.

Didn't connect any new devices or change the way I was using the internet in any way.

Restarted the router and did the online test and it says everything is fine.

Hi jack_torrance,

Thanks for taking the time to post on the community.

Sorry to read you are having an issue with your broadband speeds.

From looking at your connection, the upstream power levels are too high at 54 dBmV and locked onto one channel. Otherwise the traffic on the network is running low with no faults reported.

In regards to the power levels, I've sent you a PM (purple envelope icon, right corner) with details for you to confirm please, to arrange an engineer appointment to check this over.

Hope to hear from you soon

Sam
