Mb speed keeps dropping

Hi recently been installed and had a 125mb speed. The longer i leave the superhub 3 on the speed decreases and then sticks at 30mb.. when i reset the hub it goes back to 125mb but then again drops

When you do these speed tests are you doing them with a wired device?

Re: Mb speed keeps dropping

Hi
I have done various tests during the day as i am aware of peak times and they generally land around the 125mb. Even a test ive just done now... but the longer the hub gets left on it will rapidly decrease to 30mb and then stick there...

And wireless

Re: Mb speed keeps dropping

When you turn it on it automatically selects the least congested wireless channel.

Over time that channel will fill up as more people turn routers on / switch channels.

When you then reboot it will look for the least congested channel again.

Unless you have any wired information that backs up the speed loss?

Re: Mb speed keeps dropping

You'll want to look for a network scanning program like InSSIDer to see which is least congested and there are certain rules on which channels to use so they don't overlap.

Regardless, if you care about speed you may as well wire up.
