Loss of speed

Hi,

I have recently noticed that the speed on my virgin broadband has dropped down to 40 mbs when I have the 200 mbs package and I always get over 200 mbs. 

I have also noticed that when logging into my virgin super hub 3ac and is in modem mode i cannot access the downstream tab and all i get is a spinning wheel.

Your downstream SNR is borked on the lower frequencies.

It takes about a week for a VM Forum Team Member to pick up the thread, so you might be better off giving them a call on 150 from a VM line or 0345 454 1111 for a quicker response.

My downstream power levels have all gone to minus when these were all showing +1.

HI Suraj1,

Sorry we've not reached your post sooner and I would have responded to your PM more quickly if I'd been in work last week.
I wouldn't be overly concerned about the change in downstream power levels. Rule of thumb is the closer to zero the better, so those levels are optimal (with + or - either way by a few dBmV's being absolutely fine).

There has though been some upgrade work taking place on your CMTS which may have been causing some disruption to performance. However, that is unlikely to cause your GUI access to run slowly, unless unrelated Internet pages were also affected. 

If your speed is still adversely impacted I would like to know whether or not you're connected via Ethernet or wireless and would also like to know if removing your own wireless router (and hard wiring a pc directly to the Hub) makes any noted improvement?
