Joined VM today and ordered 200 but only getting speeds of 100!

So i joined VM but its not gone all well i have set up my hub however i am only getting speeds of up to 93 MB i rang tech support but they ran a few tests and then he just said that there is maintenance being done in your area and you should be upt o speed in 3-4 hours!

Seems like an excuse to me since his tests failed and could not get me to the speeds i ordered, will give it a few hours and see if its been sorted.

When someone comes on and says they are getting slightly less than 100Mb on the 200Mb service, invariably this is down to the user's own equipment, rather than the Virgin Media service.

Can you explain how you are testing? Wired or wireless? If wired, is your gigabit Ethernet adapter running in gigabit mode with an appropriate cable?

Any information would help identify where the bottleneck is.
