Intermittent internet 2+months

Hi,
For over two months now we've had intermittent or just super slow internet. With less than helpful support over the phone we asked for a field engineer who left us equally clueless as to what the problem is and how or even if the problem will get fixed.
This is certainly the last option I will be using to help get my internet back up and running, failure to do so will see us leave the service immediately after what I feel has been a testing last couple of months.
