Getting less than 70mbit down and 5 up on 100mbit connection

Hi there,

I'm having some connection issues. Our connection went down completely about a month ago, we booked an engineer, but then it seemed to fix itself so we never got an engineer over. Now however we're experiencing slow speeds, huge delays on initial connections to websites, and awful network performance in online games and streaming.

I'm getting the following errors on my hub over and over:

Date And Time Error Number Event Description

2017-01-09 18:23:16.0084020200Lost MDD Timeout;CM-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CMTS-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;

RCS Partial Service;CM-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CMTS-MAC=**:**:**:**:**:**;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;

And here is my down and upstream status:

Re: Getting less than 70mbit down and 5 up on 100mbit connection

Your downstream power levels are too low and the upstream is maxxed out.

It might be worth checking the coax cable from the hub to the cable entry point checking for obvious signs of damage and all connectors are hand tight.

You will need to contact VM for resolution, either by waiting here about a week until a VM Forum Team Member picks up the thread, or give them a call on 150 from a VM line or 0345 454 1111 for a quicker response.

Hi steele7,

Thanks for reporting this to us. As you can see our Superusers are on the ball and griffin has correctly interpreted the power level concerns on your Hub. I've just tested them myself and there is little change.
The upstream network segment is free of any errors or SNR issues so an engineer will be needed to get your downstream & upstream power levels increased & reduced respectively.

Please reply to my PM (purple envelope icon, top right of page) and I'll get an appointment scheduled in for you Smiley Happy

Hi steel7,

My pleasure Smiley Happy
The engineer is all booked in for you, details are as per my PM.

Let us know how you get on. The engineer should get this all sorted out for you, but if you do have any issues moving on from this we'll be happy to offer further support.

All the best Smiley Happy
