Free speed boost not done yet?

Hi,

My online account says I can have free speed boost from 50mb to 100mb.I have accepted it a week ago but since then nothing done,called customer service but no one knows about it and cant find the order.I have a order no for it.who should I contact to check and do I need to do anything to receive the free speed boost.Thanks

Yes, just the same here.  I accepted it in My Virgin Media, got a confirming email and within 48 hours it had automatically rebooted twice and I had a new config file taking me from 70 to 100.  In reality I'm getting a constant 108 now which is very satisfactory.

Sometimes turning off your hub for 5 minutes and then back on will give it a nudge.

I was wondering where my speed bump had got to, forgetting that it has to be ordered. Once done you should then get a confirmation email.   If you haven't already had a confirmation email you should get one soon, but a week seems to be a long time.   Took roughly one day to bump me up from 70Mb to 100.  The router spontaneously rebooted.  I would consider trying it again in your position.

I'm getting a very favourable 110+Mb.

tried but no luck.that message of upgrade disappeared from my account last 2 days.i still have order confirmation email

Have the order number on the confirmation email handy then give Tech Support a bell on 150; tell them that your speed upgrade hasn't come through.  Make sure the router is switched on, then hopefully they can upgrade you manually.

Or sign into myvirginmedia and run the broadband test which will download the new speed config to your SHub.
