Fast in the day, slow at night

Hi I have recently had my hub 2.0 switched for a 3.0 as I was suffering from slow speeds in the evening. Unfortunately I still have the same issues. During the day I can get 186mbps on wireless, at night this drops to around 25 to 40 Mbps. Is there anything I can do or is this an external issue. I have noticed that there are a lot of networks on my street.

Re: Fast in the day, slow at night

Hi Neilgascoyne,

Thanks for taking the time to post on the community.

My apologies that you are having issues with your broadband speeds during the evenings.

I've managed to locate your account, the line and hub have come back as fine. The traffic on the network is running low which is good.

Are more devices in use during the evenings?

Can you complete speed tests whilst the Hub is in modem mode to see if there is a difference?

Let me know how you get on

Sam

Re: Fast in the day, slow at night

Hi. I have tried and no difference. Last night when no one else was using the download speed was 5mbps. This morning it was back to 175mbps. It happens in the evenings, I'm guessing when more people on the street are using it.

Re: Fast in the day, slow at night

Hey Neilgascoyne,

Thanks for getting back to us Smiley Happy

Apologies for the on-going connection problems.

I've taken another look this morning and currently your SNR levels are out of range.

I'd like to arrange for an engineer to call around to investigate this.

I'll drop you a PM (purple envelope, top right) to confirm a visit.

Speak with you soon,

Take care.
