Download speed has increased , thanks alot Virgin Media

Has someone been tweaking my settings ?

I have gone from 317Mbps ... upto 333Mbps

Speed_tweak

Did VM take control of infrastructure that Kingston, i think they were called, installed then?  If so, it would appear that they had done a far better job of future-proofing their infrastructure than Diamond Cable had done in my part of Nottinghamshire.  Oh well.

Thats just one of the servers I use for speed tests. Im County Durham area

VM increased the provisioning amounts not too long ago as some customers were getting less than headline speeds (just - say 195Mbs on 200Mbs line) without any issues on the line - losing the speed just from the overheads. The increase was to stop that happening anymore.

Ah, it looks like VM really have got their priorities right then.  No point sorting out customers that are getting way less than their advertised speeds when you can sort those that are getting very close.

Or indeed those getting more than there advertised *upto* speeds Smiley Happy
