Chronically slow broadband speeds in S61

Yet again my Sunday evening is being ruined as broadband speeds are down at only 7 mb/sec and they are supposed to be up at 50mb/sec at least!

I just get fed up with the poor service from Virgin Media.

Time to change???

Hey!
We are in s61 area (14) and tonight we are running on 1mb. Can't really watch anything because of the constant buffering 😡 Should have 70mb.
Grrr. I'm thinking try else where maybe too.

Re: Chronically slow broadband speeds in S61

I'm supposed to be 200 Mbps but only get these speeds in the morning or after midnight. At present it's around 100Mbps which is OK but not what I'm paying for. Also I have problems streaming because the download rate peaks and troughs so in a trough I can lose my connection to Netflix, etc. At some times it's down to 50Mbps so again not what I'm expecting.

Re: Chronically slow broadband speeds in S61

Monday 7th November 2016 - evening broadband speeds are down at about 5 mb/sec again!

No video gaming so I am going to be old fashioned and read a book!

This internet service is diabolical !!!!!!!!!

Re: Chronically slow broadband speeds in S61

To everyone on this thread experiencing very slow broadband during peak times...

Do not be fooled by review dates!

If you have been given a 'fault ticket' reference number, claim your loss of service credits that you are entitled to each and every month.

If it is a long standing problem, with multiple review dates, log an official complaint with Virgin Complaints Team

If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, go to deadlock and escalate to CISAS

-----------------------------------------------------------
I am in an OVER UTILISED VIRGIN MEDIA AREA - poor speeds of 0.3Mbps to 4Mbps every evening.
Contention reference "F002896495", has now become F004952644.
Ongoing since March 2014. 16 review dates... Next Review JANUARY 2018
