Broadband speed not 150 yet

The other day I renewed by contract and was told me internet speed would be up to 150mb from 100. I have not seen this yet and wondered if anyone has seen this too?

Re: Broadband speed not 150 yet

Normally any new agreements (contract) would remove eligibility for the free speed boost to 150. I would keep that in mind that the script readers may not of divulged that.

Speed changes can take a couple days to be processed but shouldn't be over 48 hours.

As the current forum wait time is between 1-2 weeks it may be worth ringing them up to see what's happened.

Re: Broadband speed not 150 yet

Well she gave me money off my contract and said that I would get a bump up to 150mb. I double checked again at the end of the conversation and she stated again that I would get it.
I will be extremely angry if this is was lie

Actually any idea where in the settings on the router I can find the download and upload speeds that I can get?

Re: Broadband speed not 150 yet

The other caveat of the speed boost was you could not have discounts with it.

As they've broken both the rules I'd be surprised if they did do the speed boost.

Re: Broadband speed not 150 yet

As I had a verbal agreement with them, which is binding in Scotland, I will call them up and push for my speed bump. If they say no, they are in breach

Re: Broadband speed not 150 yet

Can you prove you had one? Did you record the conversation?

I'm not 100% on the legal side of things but as they are not based in Scotland my head says it won't count as a deal with Scottish laws/protection.

Similar to how companies are based in Ireland to pay less tax despite being global etc and mainly trading in U.K.

Re: Broadband speed not 150 yet

Well if they didn't do the speed boost then you are not in a new contract either.
