Broadband speed keeps dropping and I have to reset my HUB to bring it back.

Since Sunday I have been having problems with my cable broadband. The speed will drop to around 1M until I turn the HUB off and back on again when it will return temporarily to 200M. The speed is tested using an Ethernet connection and speedtest.net.

I have read other posts on this forum from people recently having the same issue.

Hi paulguk,

Welcome to the Community!

Really sorry to hear you're experiencing speed issues.

I'd like to look into this further for you but I can't seem to find your account. I've sent you a private message (purple envelope at the top right of your screen) so I can get some details from you.

Speak soon Smiley Very Happy

Josh

Re: Broadband speed keeps dropping and I have to reset my HUB to bring it back.

Sorry to hear this seast91, :/

I've located your account details and there appears to be a fault within the area relating to this under the ticket reference of F005243205, with a review set for 26/04/2017.

Your equipment levels are, however, within specification at the moment.

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Let me know if I can help with anything more,

Nat_J

Re: Broadband speed keeps dropping and I have to reset my HUB to bring it back.

Hi

It is still happening although typically now down to 10-15mbps down from 150mpbs. Previously it was less than 1mbps.

Not acceptable though....

Is there an update?

Hey seast91,

Thanks for getting back in touch with us Smiley Happy

I've just taken a look at your connection and it looks like things have improved, how are you finding your hard-wired speeds now? Do you notice a significant improvement during off peak hours?

Catch you soon,

Take care.

Hi

It does seem to have settled down now. I will monitor it for a while but the situation has definitely improved.

I just checked speed and it's currently 2 to 4mbps.

Problem remains.

Re: Broadband speed keeps dropping and I have to reset my HUB to bring it back.

Hi there seast91,

Thanks for getting back to us and apologies you are still having an issue with the broadband speeds.

I can see you are using the Super Hub in modem mode, are you using your own router by any chance?

If so, can you complete speed tests direct to the Super Hub without your equipment attached please to see if there is a difference?

Speak to you soon

Sam
