Broadband speed issues - again!

During the day - speeds of 154mb. All good. On an evening when we want to use the internet, speeds of 0.8 to 3mb. Speedchecked every night in January. Call queues to the help desk greater than 15 minutes. This is a joke service. Before I cancel and move to BT can someone tell me if this is a fault that can be fixed or is it the fact that Virgin have oversold their backbone massively and now can't deliver speeds that would have been slow 10 years ago.

If you send me one more advert about my next speed bump I will scream.

I don't need 200mb, 50-60 reliably is better than 200mb at 4am and nothing when I need it.

Really sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your connection.

 

I've located your account and I can see an issue with the network in your area causing intermittent connection at the moment - Ref.(F005042529). Our technicians are working to get this resolved as soon as possible are reviewing the issue later tonight.

 

I'll check back with you tomorrow morning so I can run another diagnostic.

I've checked the network this morning and it looks like the technicians are still working on it. They've updated the review time for later today so I'll check back with you and let you know if there's any change.
