Broadband speed after upgrade query

About a month ago I had my broadband speed increased from 'up to 100Mbps' to 'up to 150Mbps'. However, I'm not convinced about it. I've been running speed checks at various times over the last couple of weeks and I'm never getting over 100K. Can someone please check this out to see if it has actually been done.

Re: Broadband speed after upgrade query

What does it say your speed is in the hub logs? How are you testing, wired or wireless and does the device have a gigabit network adaptor?

Dave.

Re: Broadband speed after upgrade query

I was testing with a wired connection.

You're going to have to help me out with finding the speed in the logs and determining whether the device (my laptop?) has a gigabit network adapter.

Re: Broadband speed after upgrade query

From what I can see it only has 10/100 Ethernet. You won't get over 100 with that, 90 is usually tops.

You'll need to get a USB to Ethernet gigabit network adaptor to go faster.

Dave.
