Broadband quality monitors

Is this the kind of performance I should be seeing in broadband quality monitor graphs, for a 50mbp/s connection? We're having trouble streaming video when people are actually in the house (family home, three kids)

Is this latency in the general area, or on our connection? How can we tell?

Re: Broadband quality monitors

Thanks, hadn't seen that. I only started monitoring last tuesday, so not sure how long this has supposed to have been "a thing"? Any idea?

Re: Broadband quality monitors

Okay, I've read that thread now, and it tells me nothing actually useful. All it does is acknowledge there is an issue.

Does anyone at Virgin know what's going on, why, and when it will be fixed?

Re: Broadband quality monitors

If they do it would be posted in that thread.

Re: Broadband quality monitors

I'm quite new to using these forums ... do virgin typically provide fixes / useful info on this forum, or not? There doesn't seem to be any update on this issue since it was reported, which doesn't bode well ...

Re: Broadband quality monitors

It's not the first time it's happened, usually takes a small time to get it fixed.

They will be trying to sort it asap.

Re: Broadband quality monitors

It started 4pm last Friday.

Not sure if virgin know the cause yet, maybe we will get an answer, maybe we won't, I'm sure it will be fixed at some point but when is anyone's guess.

Re: Broadband quality monitors

Okay, so a moderator has replied to the stickied thread saying the "humps" were caused by a problem with the link to ThinkBroadband, which has now been resolved ..

That being said, should my thinkbroadband graph still look like this? Is this "normal" for the service Virgin provide?
