Broadband Speed

Hi,

I have just had Vivid 100 Broadband installed and have a question about the actual download speed over Wifi.

I know that the advertised speed of 100Mbps may not always be achievable but on running speed tests on my IPad over wifi I consistently get 76Mbps download and 5.5Mbps upload.

I have run the speed test at various times over the weekend including a test on Monday morning at around 6:00am when internet usage would have been fairly light and got the same results.

It almost seems that my Vivid 100 has been capped as there is very little variation in the download and upload speeds but it has never exceeded 76Mbps at any time.

Any ideas why this may be happening?

Re: Broadband Speed

The only accurate way to run a speed test is with a device hard wired via ethernet cable to the hub.  Wi-Fi can introduce all sorts of variables that can affect the signal.
