Area 31 Cambridge slow speeds

Has any one had a concrete answer and resolution as to slows broadband speeds in area 31/ notably Cambridge?

Things are getting a bit silly don't you agree?

Can't Virgin put out a public note to all?

Should we complain to OFCOM?

It's pants - we're Tring based, also Area 31. Typically 15Mb/s. To date:

  • They've refused to update the service status page, even though it impacts a wide group of people.
  • They admitted it's been ongoing since September, but haven't sent out a courtesy email.
  • Continue to charge a large group of people for a service they can't honour.
  • Was told it might be November 16th for a fix.

Great company. Really good...

I'm also in Area 31 and first reported issues to them in September - at the time was told resolution would be October 19.  Phoned up again this evening as the problem is obviously still there and have now been told January 11th.  Do they simply make up dates on the spot?

Thinking about leaving due to this horrific service tbh.

I'm area 31 in HP2 and have the same issues!!! I'm sick of it.

I'm lucky to get 7 Mbps in in the evenings in the CB4 area of Cambridge. Its been like this on and off for the year I've had this account. Can't say I'll be renewing unless there is a massive and consistent improvement.

im in cb4 area, same issue, what on earth is going on?

can someone check my "levels" please as the phone team do not understand english.

too many problems, i really am now looking at moving provider.

Thanks for taking the time to post on the community. It's nice to have you here.

 

My apologies that you are still experiencing slow broadband speeds.

 

Looking at your connection, the line and hub have come back as fine. There are no faults reported and the traffic on the network is running low, which is good.

 

Do you get slow speeds at all times of the day?

Are you able to complete speed test through a wired connection at different times of the day so we can see what you achieve please?
