Area 25 - Slow speeds

Come on let's have some truth there's a major problem in np19 area I'm paying for 150meg broadband I'm lucky to get over 30 which drops to around 15 on wifi and this is with a new sh3

I've checked the account and it seems the technician has completed his work. Have you checked to see what speeds you're getting on a wired connection?

Less then 90meg on hardwire , wifi still dropping from 50 down to 15

Can you run a test with the hub in Modem Mode with your computer in Safe Mode with Networking. I just want to make sure we've got all the basics covered before I go back to the field team.

Unfortunately I can't link via wifi that way or Ethernet as I don't have another router

Hi jimmyp,

 

To use Modem Mode or Safe mode with networking, you'll only need your virgin hub and a computer.

 

What operating system do you use on your computer?

Windows 7 josh now I can't link to wifi it's showing a pink ligh all the time on sh3 is it stuck in modem mode?

Hi jimmyp,

 

If the light is pink on the front of the Hub 3.0, that means it's in Modem Mode. All you need to do now is run your PC in Safe Mode with Networking then run a speed test.
