Area 22 - Intermittent Network Speed

Hi Guys,

Having an issue with my broadband connection at the moment. Currently on the 200Mbps package however I am seeing intermittent issues where I get less than 1Mbps

Using SpeedTest to check and results I've had

24/10 17.34 D/Load - 75.98 Upload 8.56 Ping 36

24/10 05:40 D/Load - 0.07 Upload 12.20 Ping 34

24/10 05:37 D/Load - 0.19 Upload 12.62 Ping 34

I can see in the Network Log lots of Lost MDD Timeout messages. I've tried:

  • clearing the logs.
  • hard reboot.
  • factory reset

All to no avail and this appears to be so intermittent. Hub I have is a Superhub 2ac.

hiya @joeleo81 welcome to the virginmedia community forum, your upstream signals are showing fine, but major issue with the downstream SnR showing far too low, this more than likely require a tech visit to see what is going on, it will be around a week or less for the forum admin to reply, or you could contact broadband support via 150 / 0345 454 1111 (advising them to check the downstream SnR).. if you contact support can you post the outcome here.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an intermittent connection, thanks for proving your stats.

 

I agree that your SNR could do with being looked at. Let's get an engineer out to take a look.
