Area 20 doesn't relate to internet issues. Area 20 is a commercial billing reference that covers multiple cities.
That's why some people in area 20 recently got a fix but it didn't effect you. Internet problems are much much more local to the customer than some giant billing code.

On the slight plus point I'm getting a credit on my account every month for the inconvenience and the ability to cancel my contract any time I want due to the poor service. (rochdale area) Oh and a call from a guy called Steve every month with an update regarding the Oldham exchange needing a major upgrade, nothing being done before April.
Seems Virgin have done a number on me and I feel like a fool. For £2 extra a month I was offered 200mbs and a TV package. Thought it would come in handy whilst my wife was on maternity leave.
Had an engineer out who put me at ease with the issues. So, since the installation my speeds have actually been worse than my previous package outside of peak times. It seems 'the deal' was for a stable line of about 40/50mbs and nothing actually close to 200mbs
