Area 20 yet again!

Area 20 in Prenton. 3.65mbps download speed before 'peak time' Had a call back from the CEO's office saying I can cancel my contract with no fee.

Can admin advise me how to do this? The service is beyond a joke. Forum members in Area 20 having 50x the speed I get. How is this possible?

Given Virgin enough chances. I want out

Not that it helps you but i'm getting slow speeds and i'm also in the area 20 region.

 

only getton 7-12mbps.

 

seems to be an ongoing issue in this area code.

Area20 M46 Post Code , I've not seen speeds over 20MB in the evenings since new year. Currently 

5969853062 

My connection is as it should be outside of the usual 7/8-10/11 slowdown (Just I work 9-5 at 7-11 is the time I want my connection!)

Area 20 doesn't relate to internet issues. Area 20 is a commercial billing reference that covers multiple cities.


That's why some people in area 20 recently got a fix but it didn't effect you. Internet problems are much much more local to the customer than some giant billing code.

1.2mb tonight, I'm surprised I can even post on here! On the slight plus point I'm getting a credit on my account every month for the inconvenience and the ability to cancel my contract any time I want due to the poor service. (rochdale area) Oh and a call from a guy called Steve every month with an update regarding the Oldham exchange needing a major upgrade, nothing being done before April.

The date it's getting looked at is the 25th Jan. I have told them I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. Nothing happens past then I am done.

Seems Virgin have done a number on me and I feel like a fool. For £2 extra a month I was offered 200mbs and a TV package. Thought it would come in handy whilst my wife was on maternity leave.

Had an engineer out who put me at ease with the issues. So, since the installation my speeds have actually been worse than my previous package outside of peak times. It seems 'the deal' was for a stable line of about 40/50mbs and nothing actually close to 200mbs

9am (supposedly outside of 'peak' time) and I am getting 50mbps. Come on! This is worse than the last package.
