Area 04 fault

Could anyone explain the current fault in this area please?

I was told in January that there would be a fix in April but yesterday customer relations stated 6th February.

The broadband is really bad with peak time speeds hitting 20mbps.

I want to know if it's worth staying if the fix date is actually February.

It's WS1 3XX area.

Thank you

Re: Area 04 fault

Area 04 same as you. Been hitting about 0.30mbs during peak from 4pm till 12am. On vivid 152.

we were originally told there was a fault and they specifically told me a fix was set for 1st February not a review. But nothing has happened and problem persists. :/

HOPEFULLY, things get fixed soon. Its just frutrating haaving a week of this >•<  especially since im a gamer and the evenings are best time for me.

Same, I was wondering if the gamer bundle 200 would help the situation?

Can't really justify paying more for a terrible service though at the same time

Re: Area 04 fault

It sounds like you are suffering from the dreaded Over Utilisation (Being told that it'll be fixed in April, by the offshore call centre, I presume?). If so, all that upgrading will do is put your monthly bill up.

Re: Area 04 fault

By customer relations yesterday who spoke to the faults team.

Just started a new 12 month contract because they said it'd be fixed by February lol.

What I agreed over the phone and what they sent in writing is different though, need to chase em up.

So upgrading will do nothing?

And you've had this issue since 2014!? How do you cope?

Re: Area 04 fault

Yeah it could be over utilisation. :/ Crazy if youve been having that issue since 2014. That would drive me nuts. Amazing how slow they are in trying to fix it. I bet they would be fast enough at taking action if you were to stop paying your bill. Smiley Tongue

Re: Area 04 fault

Upgrading will only give VM more of your £.

These "Faults" can go on for years. The only reason that I've stayed, is to keep my old NTL email address.

How do I cope? I got BT installed, for when I need a reliable connection at peak times. Smiley Wink
