Area 04 Dudley very poor

I have purchased the Vivid 200mbps package recently and after testing it several times I get about 10mbps tops. I have been told the area is over utilized which is not acceptable. After speaking to the technical team I was told that these issues will be resolved in april however ive read posts from the past of other virgin members going back to 2015 and they have been promised the same thing. I have downgraded to 50mbps now but i am still concidering to change my service provider the only problem I have is theres hardly any other service providers in my street. Is there any plans of fixing this issue?

im in netherton and my connection sucks soon as the kids are from school the service is totally over run i have the 200 meg connection and like yourself am lucky to hit 10 meg at peak times and all you get for your trouble is being told is the problem will be sorted by the start of april which is an absolute joke 

finaly got to speak to somebody in england and got £16 off my bill like thats going to make a difference when i pay for streaming services i just cannot use

I know I have just been looking for different providers but 10mbps seems to be the fastest speed around here. I have seen a different blog where someone managed to get a full refund each month until it gets resolved I doubt that very much as it looks as it has been going on until 2014 with the same response it will get fixed in april no now its august october .... 😫

ive only really been having the issue for the last few weeks up untill then its has been quite solid with the average of 150+mbps 

but saying its going to take a whole month+ to sort out is a joke

Area 04 covers rather a large area I am in Rowley Regis B65 and it's also area 04

I first reported speed issues to Virgin Media on the 9th of December 2014 yes 2014 that is not a typo take a look at my ongoing thread here

If you are expecting a quick fix to over utilisation issues in your areas please do not expect it you will only be disappointed, the only thing Virgin Media will offer you is a few quid off your bill every month Smiley Mad

I am lucky enough however to be able to also get BT Fibre which almost always gives me the speed I pay for 80/20

Best advice I can offer anyone is if your are not happy with your speeds with Virgin Media and you can get Fibre from a different provider then go get it I'm sure glad I did Smiley Very Happy

To be honest with the bill creeping up each month to over £70 a month now I will be going with sky soon as fiber to.the cab is available to my area what with the TV box that goes at a snails pace broadband brand not fit for purpose and the worse WiFi signal I have ever come across what's not to loose by switching

Did you not read my post fully I have BT Fibre..... and VM.....

I am sticking with VM because I myself and several "others" want to see if it ever gets fixed plus my own thread is there for the world to see what you can expect from VM if you ever have issues....

Now lets not get to far off the point of this thread speeds are rubbish in Area 04......
