Why can't anyone provide a broadband without any issues? Sky, BT and all of those other providers suck in terms of speed. Virgin Media most likely is the fastest provider at the moment, however these constant "lag" issues are really annoying... http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4499870029
Thanks for getting back to us. I've had a check on fault ticket F003453177. Work has been completed recently which has helped ease the peak time load, It's looking much better over the last 48 hours. There's further work scheduled which we are awaiting an update for and the estimated review date is currently 09/12/2015
When testing your speeds is it through a wired or wireless connection?
We are supposed to be on " UPTO 150mb ", lucky to get 30mb, and sometimes no service at all. Its like being back on dial up.Been a customer since NTL days, but not for much longer. Yo0ur adverts may as well say UP TO 1,000000mb , cos youv'e just as much chance of getting that as you are 150mb.
Hey man, you know what really annoys me? Is that you - as in your company as well as a countless number of other companies always advertise your products everywhere a thousand times, then you get a ton of new clients and then you're unable to keep up with the speed. You are no longer able to provide a reliable good quality connection.
For the last few months ever since you started advertising Virgin Media everywhere my connection keeps dying. When I say dying I don't mean it dies completely but I am getting HUGE spikes in online games which is seriously frustrating. I have been a customer of yours for probably over 6-7 years.
The reason why I chose VM is due to quality that you USED to provide, but like I said - these days you guys are seriously starting to go down the hill just like the rest of those SKY/BT/TalkTalk companies. I really wish that there was a good company out there who honestly CARED about their customers and their speed, or rather reliability of it.
I made the switch to Sky a month or so ago and here's the thing. Sky maybe slower in terms of what speeds can be reached (for now), but whilst you guys are in 'peak time' and getting 10% of the speed you pay for, as I did when with vm, Sky gets me 76mbps. I get that all day, every day. So yes, slower on paper but really, it's faster. Consistency is key. Very happy with Sky at the minute. Another plus, they don't lie to me.
As you can see above, it's clearly worth it. I mean granted - they do provide a "credit" which means that I have to pay less, but I honestly don't care about that. When I come back home after a hard day at work - I expect to have fully functional broadband, not some d-d....--dd...d--------ddddddelay. Try watching a stream or something, it's a lot of fun.
Hey man, thanks for this. If this is honestly the case - I am going to switch as well. VM doesn't seem to give a crap about the consistency. For them it's all about the numbers. Growing their business without any regard to the reliability of the content which they provide, it's pathetic really. This is how most of the companies operate these days; nobody cares, everyone keeps getting greedy.
Just to let you know i use to WORK for VM when they was NTL:Telewest so i knew what was going to happen like a mind reader when i signed up for the service a while back........and to be totally honest i am also too thinking of letting the VM ship finally sail on without me as i am getting SICK of the severe INCONSISTENCIES with their service.
I would rather settle for only pulling in UP TO 38Mb on my Landline and have that ALL DAY EVERY DAY unlike VM which seems to crumble worse than a rich tea biscuit in your cuppa.
Just feels like this:
I would advise reading my other notes on these posts to gleen some info from them as it may be "informative" for you (i know it may not be in your area but the info in these threads i have replied back with may shed some light/provide some info for you all
