I've noticed some significant slow down tonight. Usually, when testing my speed, I get what I'm supposed to at any time of the day or night, week days and weekends. Tonight, whilst downloading an update for a game on my Xbox One, I noticed it was downloading as low as 15mb/s. Usually updates and games download at speeds around 150-180mb/s. When doing a speed test tonight, struggled to hit 140mb/s download and 10mb/s upload. My usually speeds are around 200+mb/s down and about 15mb/s up. I know that the current download may affect the result a little, but a 25% drop in download speed is quite a bit. Especially as the kind of download size would usually take barely 10 minutes, but has so far taken almost 20.
Are there any known issues currently in the Thurrock area?
@kippies thanks for all your help on this. I did do a hard reset on the hub with a pin the other day with no positive result. Apparently you have to press for over 30 seconds for it to reset which I didn't know. I have done that tonight and although the speed has returned for now I'm expecting it to drop out again tomorrow, so will check again then and post as per your advice below. Thanks again
