Hi, I moved from Sky to Virgin Media due to the "available line speed of 200mb". My installation took place yesterday and for the past 24+ hours the maximum speed I have experienced is 40mb. In fact last night it dropped below well below 10mb.
Technician revisited and checked both the installation and the exchange/port connection - all is in order. Having then spoken to the Virgin help desk I am told the line speed will fluctuate according to "area utilization" and was given a £12.50 credit. I was also informed the network upgrade to rectify this is only scheduled for April!!
Anyone who is considering changing to Virgin Media for the extra internet speed, don't bother! I will be monitoring the speeds over the next few days and if there is no improvement I will be going back to Sky.
this has been happeing since 3 years ago i think they saying lies i think it is getting to the stage of bbc watchdog i think virgin media have to pick up there act and get this sorted i give them to the new year then i am getting bbc watchdog in
