200Mbps buffering

I started on 50mbps but was having buffering problems so the technical guy said upgrade to 100mbps so I did.
I waited 24hrs for it to upgrade but the problem was still there, buffering on gaming and live TV I waited a week just incase but still the same, so again I rang and was then told I needed a new up to date hub and to upgrade yet again to 200mbps and this would definitely sort out this problem so I upgraded again, the problem is still the same no different as it was when I was paying less for the 50mbps, it hasn't sorted out live TV and the gaming is still the same.
I have been on the 200mbps for 3 weeks now and same old buffering day and night peak times and off peak, is there a problem with my equipment or the area

Re: 200Mbps buffering

Well then all I can say is it's likely just wireless limitations. To be completely blunt no ISP guarantee wireless speeds as too much is outside of their control. If there is an issue with your wired end they will look into as they can control the majority of that.

Distance / interference / device hardware etc. This would explain why when going up package didn't help at all.

Re: 200Mbps buffering

The technical guy should have told me this and not had me upgrade if that's the case, as I explained it's all used wireless and I couldn't run the ethernet cable upstairs he said it would be fine and stream ok.

Re: 200Mbps buffering

Would a plug in power line be any good for the ethernet stream? nor sure if these work.

Re: 200Mbps buffering

Depends on the electrics in your house. Also the rating for them is way out. You'll be looking at a pair of 1200's to get around 200Mbs.

Get a wired test done somehow first before spending money though.
